This is a good, and reusable item. I did find it wasn't quite long enough for what I was looking for and it didn't state on the product description the length, which is 9", and I am wanting a 12" straw for a smoothie container I recently purchased. I did keep the straws, as they worked quite well for some other containers, even though in my line of work, drinking straws come a "dime a dozen".Customer Review: Fun and Durable Straws

This was the cheapest yet one of the best presents I bought for my wife last year. The straws are fun and different colors which is great for parties so people know who's drink is who's. We have put these through the dishwasher probably 20 times and they are no worse for wear... haven't had to buy any conventional straws since we got these. I thought about using these when I got to thinking about how many disposable straws I was throwing out all the time, so I looked on Amazon to see if people made them and found these. I needed straws that were long enough to work with the lidded cups and mugs that our son uses a lot. These are really sturdy, dishwasher safe, and strong enough to last a long time. These straws are reusable and a little longer than the normal size straw. They go into the dishwasher and are great for taller drink containers. A good investment in the environment as they don't go into a landfill. I wanted washable,reusable,long straws to avoid wasting so many. These fit the bill perfectly, however they are made in China, so I'm wondering what may have been added to them. Also, not sure how safe they are over a period of time. I also purchsed the stainless steel long straws, but find them too "industrial", probably will never use them.
