Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Screen Back Task Chair ? BlackCustomer Review: My kind of chair: cute, comfy and cheap! Summary: 5 Stars
I went to Target last month looking for a comfortable office chair, after promising my old one to my granddaughter. After sitting in this model to test its comfort, I almost walked out the door with it. But when the clerk couldn't answer my questions, I decided to be cautious, for a change, and check with Amazon reviewers--IF Amazon had a similar chair.
I was delighted that Amazon had the exact same chair; in fact, this chair comes from Target. And I was very pleased with the economical price and the positive reviews:
Regarding comfort, one reviewer said it was "so-ooo" comfy. ... Yes!
On durability, another one upgraded his review a year later and said it was still in fine shape. ... Yes!
On assembly, one reviewer said it took twenty minutes, another only five! ... Yes! I can handle that.
Yes! Yes! Yes! My main concerns were answered satisfactorily, and since I could see that Screen Back Task Chair - Black was fairly nice-looking, had a screen back, pneumatic seat height adjustment and a thick padded mesh seat, I ordered it.
And now here I sit, purring like a kitten as I sit in my comfy chair, typing this review. And mustn't forget the added bonus: my neck and shoulders feel much better, not to mention the unmentionable posterior.
Highly recommended for those with small desk openings who like the freedom of an armless chair.

Customer Review: Okay for the price Summary: 3 Stars
It's a pretty sturdy chair, and easy to assemble. Everything works as it should... But I'm a heavy worker, my studies requiring me to sit at my desk for five to ten hours straight at times, and I do have some problems with this chair.
The first thing is that the seat is not very well cushioned. Sure, it does have some cushion on it, but it's pretty thin compared to other chairs. After about a week of usage I could feel my bones against the hard board under the thin cushion. I have to sit on it after putting some folded (thin) blanket on it - otherwise it hurts to sit more than a couple of minutes. (Btw I've had this chair for a little over a month now)
Another thing is that the whole chair seems to lean slightly forward. It's completely invisible and you can't detect it by sight, but once you sit down on it you can feel it. Maybe it's just my chair that has this problem, but I'm the kind of person who likes my chairs to be balanced slightly backward, not forward.
Finally, the back of this chair does not lean back at all. You can't lean back against it. This may not be a problem for most, I guess, and it isn't for me, but if you work long hours and want to stretch back once in a while, it is sometimes annoying.
Customer Review: Good value, comfortable, has lasted longer than expected Summary: 5 Stars
This is a comfortable, though basic, work chair. The mesh back provides good support and the design is sort of a blatant copy of a much pricier Herman Miller chair. I've had chairs from the usual office supply stores that routinely fall apart a year later. This one has held up much better than I expected. Sure, it is not Herman Miller, but then it does not cost eight hundred bucks either. It has no sidearms (which was a desirable feature for me, but others might prefer having them). The only downside is that the height adjustment lift does not raise it much. I just measured it and it can only go up to 39 inches above the floor from the top of the chair and 18 inches from the seat to the floor. Assembly was a snap (took 5 minutes).
Your local Target might have these in store, so I recommend taking a closer look there. Good luck try it: The display in my store was mounted on the top of a shelf seven feet above the floor! It's a nice filler that was supposed to fill in until I mustered enough courage to spend money on the "real thing" (the much-imitated Hermain Miller. Since it has not yet fallen apart after a couple of years of regular use, I see little excuse to replace it. For the price and build quality, I am not disappointed.
Customer Review: Very comfortable chair Summary: 5 Stars
So i saw this on amazon with good reviews and decided to check my local Target store and I was happy to see that they had it in stock. Bought it and got it set up in less than 10 minutes--assembling this is cake. I took a seat and it felt really comfortable, the seat cushion is really made with quality and it feels good under your buttocks. The back support is flexible and is capable of stretching back a couple of inches for ultimate back comfort; it has little holes for ventilation which is a plus for those who sit on it for a long time and get sweaty back. For this price, and this quality...it's a steal.
Customer Review: Cushion does not last long Summary: 3 Stars
For the price, it's a very nice-looking chair. Easy to assemble, and I liked the back was mesh fabric and this fairly soft. (Although you can't lean back on it.)
But I'm very thin and I often spend a lot of time in front of my desk, which means the cushioning in my chair has got to last. This one didn't, and I actually had to buy an additional cushion for it about 6 months after buying the chair new. When I had the opportunity to buy a leather chair for cheap, I gave this one away.
