I read reviews citing Sanyo's horrible packaging, but decided to take the risk and bought this anyway. Well, lo and behold, the package was dented (looked manhandled), but otherwise the unit was fine. It's pretty quiet except when the motor's running, and even then, it's not that bad, you just need to let the sound "grow on you". This is a good fridge for a dorm (what I'm using it for), it keeps everything cold and the freezer is solid, just wish it was full-width instead of just half.Customer Review: I am enjoying this refrigerator.

I recently purchased this for my office. There were several review comments that I would like to reinforce. This refrigerator is very quiet. It sits just under my desk and I rarely hear it at all. The shipping packaging is not as it should be, but the refrigerator was not the worse for it. The only thing I could complain about is the lack of a light; but I am guessing that none of the refrigerators of this size has a light.Customer Review: Excellent and convenient cooling for small space

We chose the 2.5 cubic foot size when we decided to renovate our apartment and live in the rear bedroom and we were right on the money. It's amazing how much you can actually fit in this compact fridge! Excellent cooling with an ice maker! Many pluses. Only minus is that freezer section extends beyond the compartment so anything around it freezes as well. Overall, excellent value!Customer Review: Good little fridge

I bought one of these based on the positive reviews seen here. So far I'm happy with it. It keeps my soda cold and is very quiet for my under-desk-at-work location.
I saw this same mini-fridge at my local Fry's Electronics for $139, however. So check your local outlets. You may be able to get a better price.

After reading some of the previous reviews about shipping damage I almost didn't order it. However, it arrived in great shape and the packing material was excellent. Someone must have gotten Sanyo's attention on the quality of their packing material.
