I have bought many things on Amazon but this had to be the first item that I felt deserved my time. I just love this grill. I have an outdoor kitchen that is covered for the Winter. I bought whole filet mignon and made 2 meals out of it. The first meal I made on the stovetop in a pan. It came out ok but nothing like on the outside grill. So, I went searching for something portable. All I needed was a small grill to put on the deck to get me through the Winter. After searching Amazon, I came across indoor grills. For the price, we decided to give it a try. The grill arrived in 2 days and we took it out of the box and heated it up. Grilled the rest of the filet mignon and what a difference from the pan. It tasted and looked like we grilled it outside. It was done perfect! There was no smoke and we did not have to freeze our buns off outside. We have made chicken, steaks, shishkabobos and eggplant. All came out great! Have recommended to several friends and everyone is happy with it too.Customer Review: Steak and Salmon Tests Passed

No hassle purchase via Amazon. Delivery speedy as well. Packaging done well (i.e., it survived the trip here intact). Easy to use (but remember to let it warm up to full temp before using). Easy to Clean. So far it has passed the steak and salmon tests, so I know it will cook anything else well. Tried a cage on the salmon to keep it intact, but direct contact required, so will go with foil next time to keep it together. Steak done just right. Good device for a well cooked entree done relatively quickly (remember that warm up time tho'). Only problem: stowage. Of all the vertical stowage we had built in the remodeled kitchen, none is both wide (as in thick) AND tall enough to handle its components, so it rests awkwardly in one of our larger pull out drawers. Going to have to make a brace there to hold it up so that it does not take up the whole space wastefully.
Good piece of cooking gear. Easy way to have a traveling cooker to use outdoors on the patio.

I can cook but I couldn't grill. I was not sure to buy this product or not? But it wasn't that expensive so I bought it and I love it.
I had a bunch of guest, I set my table and grilled some fillet minions and chicken thigh and shrimps the result was so perfect that I couldn't believe and I grilled some eggplant and mushrooms too. It was easy and I only made a salad in advance, we all had fan to cook on the table. There was no smoke at all. I only covered my grill with a piece of aluminum foil when grilling so I kept the heat in the grill and didn't let it get waste. Grilling every bunch got only 10 minutes. It was a new experience for me and I am going to make indoor grilling a part of every party from now on.
the veggies should be marinated in Italian dressing in advance.

I wanted a new indoor grill because of healthier eating habits. I immediately went to the Amazon reviews and was so impressed with the great reviews and most with TVGUYER's decision to use the foil baking dish as a cover. We have a George Forman and I never liked it as I felt the cover squeezed out the important juices and made the meat tough. This little gem has become the most important cooking tool in my house right now. I love it, the char marks are beautiful, the meat is moist and tender (chicken breast and salmon) and tastes like I cooked it outside. The foil baking dish cuts heat up and cooking time by more than half. As far as storage is concerned, I wanted to keep it handy and since I have ample space between the top of my refrigerator and upper cabinets it fit beautifully. I bought it to use not as a dust collector and feel that after just one short month I've already gotten my money's worth. This is one great product.Customer Review: Yum!

We love to grill, but it is too cold in Ohio in the winter. My wife and I bought this as a possible solution, after reading the good reviews both here and at the Cook's Illustrated site.
We bought a couple of Porterhouse steaks, and took the big chance, throwing the steaks on at the recommended setting... Wow! Tasty, and with better searing then I get from the gas grill! Now, I have only cooked on it once, so I cannot address how durable it is, but it did a great job in cooking my steaks.
I like my steak cooked a little bit more than my wife does, so she threw an aluminum pan over my steak for the last few minutes. This caused it to reach the right temperature quickly.
Cleanup was quick and easy, taking about 5 minutes to be totally clean and put away.
The only thing I did not care for is that the base is made out of a very light plastic. Only time will tell if it will last.
