Just got this grill today & used it to make barbecued chicken already! It heated up a lot faster than I had anticipated (from other reviews) & was very pleased with the temperature controller...easy to fine tune the heat. I had been using the George Foreman grill, but this is so much better. The chicken tasted as good as my gas bbq, but was actually moister. Great grill marks without burning! I lined the drip pan w/aluminum foil, put about 1/2 c. of water in it, & didn't notice any smoke at all. The foil will make cleanup a snap. Can't wait to try it with steaks....the GF grill is going in the garage sale closet! Yay! No more steamed steaks.Customer Review: Update: Drain pan will rust totally

We had so many George Formans, but they dried out all the meats....we were so disappoited! Then we researched and found this "smokeless grill"! Its the BOMB! I cook everything on it....and no sticking, no smoke and it cleans like a dream. You can't go wrong with this grill. Here is to healthy eatting in 2009! We love it! You will too!!!
UPDATE: The drain pan will peel and rust out completely. I handled that easily by buying disposable oblong cake pans at Safeway. Same size as drain pan (now in trash) and easily replaceable and cleaned. Cheap solution for a wonderful grill.

This is an awesome product and not expensive, I'v cooked couple time already and I love the taste of the steak, it doesn't dry, cooks it quick and keeps the juicy flavor of the steak.
Also its not expensive at all considering how convenient it is that you don't have to cook outside and fire up charcoal and all that. I got the small one just for 4 people its enough. If you are more than five get the big one also not expensive.
The only problem it has I would say is the cleaning after, you have to expend some good 10 to 15 min cleaning that grill really good, but it worth it.

After using it only twice, the plastic around the pin area of temperature probe chipped off (see the picture I uploaded), I believe this is a part quality issue. I only used it twice to make grilled chicken breast...I can not use it knowing this area broken, I just don't feel safe to use a broken temperature probe.
The whole grill plate feels very light, I wish it has a thicker heavier grill plate so the whole unit won't slide on countertop easily. Plus more material means hold temperature longer and of course cost will go up.
Returned to Amazon today.

I actually bought this grill for my mom. She had given me hers cause she had really wanted me to have it but could not find it in the stores. I didn`t really want to take it because I figured that I would never use it...WRONG!! I use it at least once a week now. After seeing how great the product was I felt bad that I had left my mom grilless! Its really great for fish, burgers, fajitas and so much more. I love to BBQ but in the winter its not really an option. I`m sure we will even use the grill in the summer time too because its so much easier than the BBQ when you are just cooking for 2.
