This is a nice little addition to the kitchen. I don't see it going to the gadget graveyard under the sink like some other appliances do. The best feature to me is the fact that the grill itself is what heats up and not a separate eye underneath like other do, which causes a lot of smoke.
The only fallback I can see is that it really could use a lid of some sort. Often I will use those reusable napkins, you know those blue ones you find in grocer store, and cover the top while cooking, works great.
Well built not to hard to clean, and little counter space to use make this a nice indoor grill, it says not to use in dishwasher but I've had mine about two weeks now and do, still works fine.
Great grill, great price, can't go wrong. Recommended.

At 120 square inches, we wondered if the larger, 200 inch model might make more sense. But we're two people and rarely serve guests; so, the size and energy savings are perfect. We loved the grill we wore out before we ordered this, but this has a lighter weight cook surface, which makes for faster heating (more energy savings! :-)) and easier handling for cleaning. The non-stick surface is gr8 - washes up easily; whereas, we used our pressure washer on our last grill. We like the removable drip pan, which is easy to wrap in foil to avoid that nasty cleaning job. We did not believe that we could possibly like anything as well as our previous unit, but we like this grill sooooo much better that we don't even remember who manufactured the last one. I had alot of trouble controlling the temp settings on my gas stovetop and after years of frustration decided to give this little grill a try. It has been a pleasant surprise. The manuals instructions for cooking chicken breasts were spot on and it's been a pleasure to just cook them without having to wonder if they're really done.
Cleanup can be an annoyance and even with a bit of a pre-soak and a lot of scrubbing there's always residue left behind. I'm careful with the plastic handles since another reviewer had one break.
I keep chicken breasts in the freezer (two to a bag) and just put the bag on a plate in the fridge before I go to work and they're thawed by the time I get home. Sometimes I pour marinade into the bag first and it has worked out well.

I am using this grill mainly to cook fish, i.e. mahi mahi, salmon, cod, ahi tuna, butterfish, etc. So far, I have used it about 5 times and feel that this grill does an extremely good job. Usually I cook the fish 4-6 mins. on each side and it's done (set on 300 degrees as suggested). I haven't had any problems with smoke which is great as the smoke/fire alarms in this rental Hawaii condo would probably go off which would be disastrous. It's very easy to clean... a little cleaning soap and wipe with the rough side of the sponge that you buy at the grocery store. This size is perfect for 2-3 people and take minimal counter space; however, if you need to accommodate a few more people, Sanyo makes a slightly larger one, the SG3. Purchased this grill from Amazon three weeks ago.It has performed well. It is easy to clean and while the grill surface itself is not submersible, it is easily washed, wiped down and dried. It stores easily and the cooking surface works fine for two or three people. The unit is NOT, REPEAT NOT totally smokeless. Open a window or nearby door if you don't have a fan above the working area. I use it under our over stove fan and it works like a charm. Don't expect it to be totally smokeless even when used as directed. The unit heats quickly and once you adjust your cooking times (it takes a little longer than regular grilling) it is a really nice unit for the price. I highly recommend it for those months when it's just too darn cold or dark outside to grill on the patio.
