Customer Review: Better than any restaurant!
Summary: 5 Stars

I recieved this Quesadilla Maker recently as a wedding gift, and have thoroughly enjoyed it. It is very simple to use, and great for preparing food for a lot of people very quickly, like tailgating or parties. Preheating the quesadilla maker only takes about 5 minutes, and after that, each quesadilla only takes about 3 minutes each. Dinner in under 15 minutes!

Be sure to use a towel or potholder to open and close the lid, as it gets very very hot. Also, if it is overfilled, the lid won't come close to closing, and it won't cut all the way thru to make them single quesadillas. I recommend filling them with whatever and as much as you want. Just keep a pizza slicer handy to cut thru them when they're done. Even when overfilled, it will still cook all the way thru, it just needs a little help separating, but overfilled makes for much tastier quesadillas.

This is a great appliance, with tons of possibilities, and it produces much better quesadillas than most any I've had in restaurants.

Customer Review: Fun and easy....great for parties!

I got this little bright red machine for Christmas as did many. I've read thru the reviews and just don't understand most of the idiotic problems users have with this machine.

The biggest complaint is that you can't stuff enough topping between the tortillas. I was cautious the first time. The second time I added more....plenty I might add. The lid doesn't need to lock to work. I give the tortillas a few seconds to warm up and then started to press the lid down....no problems! The quesadillas are pressed into need little triangles, great for dipping in salsa or cream...no messy insides falling all over your lap.

If you apply a touch of oil, like it says, to the surface of the cool plate, clean up is easy too. Just wipe off with a paper towel or two.

The best fun is to personalize your quesidilla. I find it best to fill the tortilla on a plate. Place the second tortilla ontop and then transfer it onto the Q-Maker. In 3 minutes your all set to party.

Customer Review: Perfect Quesadillas! Love it!

This is a terrific appliance! 7 minute Quesadillas! I sprayed a little Pam, plugged in this machine, put some Perdue shortcuts chicken in my mini chopper, put the chicken and pre shredded Mexican cheese on a tortilla, put a tortilla on the top, put it in this machine and closed the top. While it was cooking I put some sour cream and salsa on a dish and 5 minutes later I had delicious quesadillas! Nothing stuck to the nonstick finish, just wipe it with a wet paper towel (after it cools) and you're done. Nothing oozed out, no drips at all, and if you over fill and it oozes there is a drip tray for the front and a built in drip area around the rim. It is much better than I expected. I bought it at Bed, Bath and Beyond and in addition to the manual/recipe book it also came with a cookbook, I can't wait to try more recipes. And, you can store it upright so it saves cabinet space. It will pay for itself in 2 quesadillas, plus you can enjoy them at home. Highly recommended!

After discounts and special pricing that particular day this quesadilla maker cost me $10. For $10 I cannot complain about it's performance. It pretty much does exactly what it says it does in the instructions. Unfortunately, it's not really spectacular at doing it. There's almost nothing to be done here - plug it in, wait for it to heat up, put down one tortilla, put fillings on top of the first tortilla, put the second tortilla down, close the lid, and wait for it to cook. What's wrong? Well, it's almost a guarantee that the fillings will leak out the sides, making a mess in the unit. The instructions list a maximum filling size of 1/4 cup, but I have found even LESS than will squeeze out the sides. And honestly, I find that 1/4 cup of ingredients (say... cheese only) does not make much of a quesadilla. So in conclusion - there's nothing WRONG with this unit, but be prepared for a mess if you want to make a quesadilla that has any decent amount of anything in it.

Customer Review: Can't live without one
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the best little appliance I have ever purchased. I really don't know what other reviewers are complaining about. I bought one because I really enjoy quesadillas and thought it would be nice to have a maker at home. I soon discovered that it was a necessary kitchen appliance for me. I had to buy one for our winter home because I got tired of carrying the original one to and fro. We always take it with us on Nascar road trips in the motorhome. I have even converted our friends. Now, it is one of my favorite gifts to give for birthdays, weddings and Christmas. As for overfilling and having to clean up between each quesadilla that has been reported in other reviews, I don't mind a little seepage of cheese, because that usually means it will be extra yummy. I have never had to clean my maker between each quesadilla. Any leakage is easily wiped away but does not interfere with preparing the next one. I will definitely always keep one in my possession.
