Actually these bowls are the perfect size for soup, chili, stews etc. I agree with the others. The packaging wasn't that good..BUT...I actually purchased mine straight from Target website. Only one of the bowls had a broken handle. I notified Target and they said not to worry they would send me a replacement and I didnt have to send the broken one back. Well to my surprise they sent me a whole other set! And didnt charge me for it! Im guessing because they've had numerous returns/complaints about the poor packing from the manufacturer. Target really did come through and save me the headache. The bowls are very nice : )
