Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Sakura Pigma Brush Pen, BlackCustomer Review: Not really a brush pen Summary: 3 Stars
The Sakura Pigma brush pen has some nice features but is severely limited as a brush. The pen doesn't has an actual brush but a long, flexible, conical nub that allows you some control to vary the thickness. But you can't really produce the tapered lines possible with a brush. It would be impossible, for example, to use this for Chinese calligraphy. If this is what you have in mind you should look at the Pentel brush pen or similar brands that has an actual brush.
The Sakura Sigma still has features that you can't find with other throw-away pens. It still provides a far more dynamic range of thickness and it's great for filling in large areas. But you need to be aware of its limitations.
Customer Review: Good pen for lefties! Summary: 4 Stars
I'm left-handed and subsequently very picky about my pens. I want a pen that's comfortable to hold, and with ink that dries quickly. I've been quite happy so far with this pen! The ink dries in a snap and doesn't smudge.
I am a bit heavy-handed, so it's taken me a little while to adjust to the sensitivity to the pen (which is why I gave it a 4 out of 5), but I'd much rather have an over-sensitive pen that I have to be a little delicate with than a pen that I have to mash against the paper to get results.
Customer Review: Nice Pen Summary: 4 Stars
This is a lovely pen- the ink is a nice clean matte black and the brush tip gives it versatility. However, it does require a delicate touch to get the best results from it, which is difficult for heavy handed inkers like myself. Still, it's a fun, versatile addition to my pen collection- if you like lines, you'll like this pen.
Customer Review: An Artist's Review Summary: 5 Stars
I really enjoyed working with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone. The flexibility of the brush nib gives you a lot of options to work with; the end result of anything I use it with is beautiful. So far, it's my favorite inking pen.
