Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of SE Jeweler's Loupe - 30XCustomer Review: Good product, great price! Summary: 5 Stars
I was in the market for a fairly high power, but cost effective magnification product. This product fit the bill perfectly. I can't verify 30x power, but I can say that I can the see the smallest dots of ink on my aviation charts! For the price, I couldn't be happier :) (~$8, ~13 w/ shipping)
p.s. If you have never used a loupe, the area that is magnified is very small. You must look at the direct center of the loupe. The loupe will need to be close to the object ( < 1 inch) and you will have to get close up to the loupe ( < 6 inch).
Customer Review: Great Product at a Low Price Summary: 4 Stars
This may not be a loupe for the professional, but for the Average Joe (like me) it is a wonderful product to help you magnify those small projects. I purchased mine to use occasionally for inspecting certain small parts on my cars engine...this is exactly what I needed.
The only reason that I give it 4 stars, instead of 5, is that it isn't a "high-end" loupe...but it is something that is more geared towards those of us that don't want to spend $30 for a Bausch&Laumb.
Customer Review: 30 day money back guarantee?? Ha! Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased from this company and had to return the item, which I did within days of receiving it. I contacted them 3 times about my returned item and I never got one response. You cannot contact the company directly only through a form you have to fill out on thier website. They have no phone listed. I never got my money returned and I don't have the product. If you buy from them you better hope you don't have to do a refund or exchange. I got ripped off!
Customer Review: It's not 30x Summary: 3 Stars
This is a good little magnifier at a terrific price, but it is not 30x, and I don't know why it says it is. I have two other loupes, one that's 10x, and one that has both 15x and 20x, and this one seems to magnify a little better than the 10x. So, if you need high power, this isn't the magnifier you want. It is very easy to use, with a nice large diameter viewing area, and worth the price, but beware if you need higher power.
Customer Review: handy little gadget Summary: 5 Stars
I'm no jeweler, or watch guru. I just needed something to help me with minor repairs on my watches. This loupe is very helpful and for the price it's awesome. It comes in a little plastic case so its easy to store. Magnification is good enough to see the small scratches on my watches, and more importantly I can see the battery model numbers with ease and all the other fine watch details. No complaints here.
