I love this magnifying glass. The price is amazing. It's made of real glass, not cheap plastic like others. The glass is quite heavy. The frame and handle are plastic. This is very well made. Amazon packed this magnifying glass in an oversized box, so it bounced around inside the box through out the shipping process and still arrived in perfect condition. I bought this for my mother who has Macular Deginerastion and has a hard time seeing. This magnifying glass is light weight and has almost no distortion around the edges. Being a 5 power, it is larger than most higher power Magnifiers - all of this makes it very easy for her to use. One of the better little surprises for her!!!!Customer Review: Works as a vision aid

I have an elderly relative who has been having difficulty reading due to ongoing vision loss. This has helped her read labels, bills, RX bottles, etc. It is large enough to be useful, and yet not too heavy.
The handle is rather thin and flimsy - a more ergonomic grip would have earned this aid 5-stars from me.

I bought this for my daughter to look at small things (she wanted this because they had one on mickey mouse clubhouse). Size is good, price is right, works for my purposes. Magnifies quite well. She may break the glass if she drops it outside but that is true of anything made of glass so that was a cognizant choice I made.Customer Review: Nice exploratory tool for kids

I got it for my kid to look at bugs and patterns on clothing etc. It is light weight and nice for the kids to hold and observe things. My kid was following a small spider the other day and was looking at sand grains, leaves etc. Kept him quite inquisitive.
The item was shipped for free which was nice!
