I actually ordered these as gag gift stocking stuffers for a few of my close friends this past Christmas. Despite their overall low-cost per flask (around $3 per flask at the time of this review), the quality was much higher than I expected. The screw-in stopper is indeed water-tight and did not leak. In fact, I actually kept one and filled it with some ginger brandy (for "test purposes" of course!) and it worked fine. While I didn't get a chance to have it done myself, these would easily accept engraving on the surface. The only thing that kept this from receiving five stars was the first unit I happened to pull out was just a bit out-of-spec, making the stopper difficult to open and close (although it too did not leak when fully stoppered.) The other ones in the lot I received and subsequently distributed as gifts were all fine.
These would make excellent "favor"-style gifts, perhaps for a groom's wedding party or the like, or as in my case, simple "extras" to throw in a gift bag for friends who occasionally (and intelligently) imbibe from time to time. Very nice!
