I bought this charlotte mold from Amazon for making panettone bread and other traditional European festive breads. I was looking for this shape baking form for a long time and it is quite expensive elsewhere. This is a steady, durable piece of bake ware, does a good baking job for you. Can be also used for for shaping cold no baking desserts.

The dessert known as a Charlotte is believed to have originated in 18th-century Britain and took its name from Princess Charlotte. Recipes called for spiced apples baked in a mold lined with thin slices of buttered bread o a chilled version of the dessert made with Bavarian cream in a ladyfinger shell. You can prepare both hot and cold charlottes in this traditional mold. The tinplate construction encourages uniform baking or chilling, while flared sides help in unmolding the finished desserts.
