Customer Review: It works but what a mess!

I bought 4 of these OFF! Citronella Buckets to put around my patio which backs onto some woods in a marshy area, which pretty much incubates and breeds mosquitoes. I gave this 3 stars because it does work, but the melted, waxy mess it leaves behind is not worth it. When the box arrived, the buckets had already leaked out their gooey citronella content inside the plastic back in which they were encased. I'm guessing that this is a common problem.
Also, the wicks sort of disappear into the citronella goo in the bucket, so every time we wanted to use it, we had to fish it out - ick!! We also found that the Citronella substance leaks out of the buckets - not sure how - staining my stone patio. Next season, I may try a Tikki(sp?) torch with Citronella oil.
