I LOVE this kettle! It's easy to use, holds a huge amount of water and looks great. It's also supposed be good for other liquids like milk or soup, but I wouldn't recommend it for that because it's not that easy to clean. I've used it several times a day (tea addict) for many months and have had no problems at all. I've owned a few different kettles in the past and this is definitely the best.
Description of Russell Hobbs 068US Aqua Satin 1.4 Liter Jug Kettle
This kettle uses a 1,200-watt concealed heating element to quickly boil water for tea, hot chocolate, instant coffee, and instant foods like oatmeal and soup. The kettle holds 1.4 liters, or 1-1/2 quarts, and boils as little as 1 cup. It shuts off automatically when the water boils and lifts off its base for cordless pouring. The kettle has a satin-finish stainless-steel lower body and spout and a translucent-plastic upper body for monitoring the water level. The hinged lid locks for safety, and the big handle is angled to prevent the kettle from slipping in the hand while pouring. Inside the spout is a stainless-steel antiscale filter that can be cleaned by rinsing. The kettle stands 8-3/4 inches high on its base, is 10 inches from handle to spout, and carries a three-year warranty against defects. --Fred BrackTeakettles & Hot Pots
