This plate is a great value. Considering the understated, elegant design and the nice feel and weight, I was very pleased with my purchase. I also added bowls and salad plates to my collection. I like the raised edge too. Highly recommended. BTW, they are made in the Czech Republic, not England.

Every item in the Jamie Oliver dinnerware collection was created by the famous young chef in partnership with Royal Worcester in England, including the fun name. "Pukka" means "good" to the English and that is so appropriate for the most important piece in the dinnerware range. The "Pukka" is the porcelain dinner plate, coupe shaped and oversized allowing more surface area for generous food portions and a retro feeling. The white color provides the best background for any chef's meal. Each plate has a raised white design with ever-so-subtle element of JO to the side. Plates stack neatly for easy storage.
