Customer Review: Good, but...

The Rowenta IB-6200 Professional Ironing Board is head and shoulders above my old, bendy, rickety cheapo. It's sturdy and seems like it will last. However, before you buy, give serious thought to the dimensions. In theory, I like the idea of a larger board. But the Rowenta takes up more space in my closet (doesn't fit below the shelf) than a standard board. And I iron only size 4-6 women's clothing, so I don't feel that having the extra inches of board on which to iron really matters. It's also pretty heavy, which I can imagine would be a problem for some users.

Integrated three layer cover includes 100% cotton top and bottom with an inner layer of felt, providing a smooth ironing surface and maximum support. Professional extra large ironing surface allows for convenient ironing of many garment shapes. A narrow tip is convenient for positioning of all garments. Quick clip fastner allows cover to be tightened for secure fit and added velcro strap gives cover extra secure fit for a smooth ironing surface. Non slip-grip feet adds stability and protects your floors. The treated mesh table surface resists rust and provides a sturdy ironing surface. The height adjusts to 39" tall and has a garment rack for hanging finished items. The symmetrical board shape is well suited for either left or right handed users.
