We have enjoyed using this along with our Kitchenaid pasta maker attachment. It's something to do on dreary Saturday and if you're in the middle of being overwhelmed by children and can't actually afford to go out on a date, then you can at least eat homemade pasta and drink a glass of wine and pretend you're in Italy. Not too shabby and not too expensive.
OTOH, I wish someone could explain how to keep the raviolis from falling apart. We've tried it a couple of times, and we've tried wetting the dough, wetting the ravioli cutter and (almost!) wetting ourselves, but still it falls apart when you cook it. We've tried filling the dough full, less full and almost empty, but still the problem remains. Short of inviting GUido over from ITaly to solve the problem himself, I'm at a loss. Suggestions?
