Customer Review: highly functional, a couple of drawbacks.
Summary: 4 Stars
First, the good stuff: this peeler is sharp, requires little effort in peeling away even the toughest skins and seems quite durable. I like having it, but I'm also holding on to my cheap little Oxo peeler for a couple of reasons: first, the Rosle produces very thick peels, which is a bit wasteful. Second, I tend to be a switch hitter in terms of peeling direction and really like having a peeler that can either peel toward me or away from me. The Rosle peels in only one direction and thus sells both a right-handed and left-handed peeler. That said, I do appreciate its sold stainless steel construction, which will resist rust for many more years than lesser models.

Rosle Swivel Peeler left-handedOne of Rösle's superb kitchen tools, this 7-1/2-inch fruit and vegetable peeler has a swivel blade for easily peeling fruits and vegetables and is designed for right-handers who peel toward their bodies. (Right-handers who customarily peel away from their bodies should use Rösle's left-handed swivel peeler.) Opposite the blade is a point sharpened on both sides to remove potato eyes and other blemishes. Like all Rösle tools, utensils, and Open Kitchen storage components, this peeler is made of 18/10 stainless steel for rustproof beauty and long-lasting durability. The round handle has a satin finish to conceal finger marks. The handle is sealed against water and has a hanging ring so it can be conveniently stored on a hook in the Open Kitchen system of Rösle basic rails and Gridwalls or hung on any hook or peg. The peeler is sturdy, balanced, and exceptionally comfortable in the hand. All Rösle products are dishwasher-safe, and carry a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack
