Okay, did I need another perforated spatula? I already have a short and long handled Amco brand, melamine ones, heat resistant nylon (Calphalon) ones, ones made of bamboo, and then the non-perforated spatulas.
Well, yes, this Rosle really makes it easier to flip eggs and other food items. The blade and handle angle are just right on the wrist and the rounded handle is easy on the hand. The thinner blade makes it easier to get under the food item yet the blade is not so flexible so that the weight of a heavy piece of food slides off the blade. It is pricey for a stainless steel spatula but I got mine with a gift card. So, it has replaced my Amco spatula as the spatula I reach for when cooking.
But don't use this as a stirring spatula for stir frying: the thinner and sharper corners don't lend it for stir frying.
While I'm sure that the Rosle is dishwasher safe, I'm afraid the nice-looking Rosle emblem will wear away if I wash it in the dishwasher.
PROS: The thin blade makes it easy to slide under your food yet has the right amount of stiffness and flexibility to support and flip your food so the blade does not bend under the weight of the food and slide off.
CONS: Pricey. And don't use it as a stirring spatula for stir frying: the thinner and sharper corners don't lend it for stir frying
