I used this rolling pin once and the handles popped right off. There is no problem with the pieces of the pin separately...if they stay together. I recommend going with a more expensive product, so that you can get something with a little durability.

Practical rolling pin lets you transform dough into a thin disk of pastry without stretching, tearing or overworking it. Though this kitchen tool is used mainly to roll out dough, it is also handy for a number of other culinary tasks including crushing crackers and bread crumbs, shaping cookies and flattening meats such as chicken breasts. Center barrel turns independently between two handles. Made of solid Canadian birch wood. Measures 18.75-inch/47.5cm overall. Barrel measures 12.5-inch/32cm long with a 2.25-inch/5.5cm diameter.
