Customer Review: Cooks the BEST turkey ever!

I have used the Showtime for each holiday turkey since we bought ours at JC Penneys several years ago, except for one year when we bought a bird bigger than 15 pounds. Was I ever sorry! Never again! Raosting a turkey in the traditional oven is too messy and much more work. Once you get it tied up and in turning in the Showtime the oven the rest is a piece of cake.
You can't cook the stuffing in the bird, but I just make some on the side & bake it or do a box of Stove Top stuffing.
Chickens cook great too & sirloin tip roasts are fabulous. I cook for two so I can cook a large piece of meat or two chickens and have cooked meat for 2-3 meals. Roast beef can be sliced with a slicer and tastes a whole better than deli meat (and w/o the nitrates and sodium).
With turkey and Chicken I use latex gloves and put the herbs under the skin all over the breast and drumsticks. The araoma of the spices as they cook makes you so hungry you can't wait to eat!
I didn't get the veggie steamer for top of oven but have used the kabob skweres and grilling baskets.
I don't put the top part of the drip pan in... just one more thing to clean. I line the drip pan with foil for easy clean up. The "non-stick" surface is just a thin layer of coating that will flake off easily, but there is no danger as the food doesn't touch the drip pan.
I throw the parts into the dishwasher for easy clean up, and everything stores inside the oven when not in use. I use regular twine now but the elastic ones that come with oven work really good. I threw the oven glove out a long time ago as it was to keep clean and the inside of the glove got nasty (I live in Florida where mold is the unofficial state weed!).
You won't be disappointed with anything you cook in this oven.
