Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Rival FD350S Stainless Steel Electric FondueCustomer Review: NICE ELECTRIC FONDUE Summary: 3 Stars
IT HEATS UP VERY FAST,BE CAREFUL AND KEEP STIRRING,I SUPRISED,I ALMOST BURNED THE CHOCOLATE.GOOD DESIGN,I LIKE THE BREAK AWAY CONNECTION,PREVENTS ACCIDENTS.THE PIECE THAT HOLDS THE FONDUE FORKS,DOES NOT STAY ON THE POT VERY WELL.FOR THE PRICE I PAID I DON'T KNOW IF I WOULD BUY IT AGAIN,OR GO WITH A SIMPLE DESIGN.
Customer Review: Great product! Summary: 5 Stars
Used it last night for the first time for the fondue and it couldn't have worked better! Solid stainless steel makes clean up easy, also has a easy to read thermostat. My only gripe is that the cord is a bit short, which was probably done intentionally for safety. Can't wait to cook some meat with heated oil!
Customer Review: Must Have - Fondue Summary: 5 Stars
This should be everyone's first fondue unit. A must for cooking meats and vegetables since you control the temperature. I love that it does not have a non-stick coating inside since fondue forks are metal and would only scratch that coating. It cleans up very easily and stays looking new time after time.
Customer Review: Excellent Cheese Fondue Summary: 5 Stars
A friend recommended we get an electric fondue pot since our sterno based one didn't do a great job on a cheese fondue we made. They were right! The fondue was perfect -- a big Thanksgiving hit although I'm not sure the Pilgrams and Indians had cheese fondue -- and now my mother-in-law plans to get one!
Customer Review: favorable reveiw for the electric fondue Summary: 5 Stars
I never used the fondue for it's intended purpose. Instead use it as a boiler, steamer, fryer. It's great, I am on my third one. The electrical plug-in device goes bad after a few years of daily use. Again, very happy with it. They used to include a cover, but now a days they do not include one.
