Heats up great. Very fast. However, a rust spot developed in one area around the heating element. (It could have been due to my leaving water in the kettle overnight. ???) But then white stuff started flaking off, appearing in my drink. Certainly not going to drink that!

The Hot Pot boils water up to 60% faster than a microwave and it's easy to clean non-stick cooking surface.A real time-saver, this 32-ounce Hot Pot boils water 60 percent faster than a microwave. The plain white exterior makes it equally at home in an office or dorm room, and the nonstick interior can be wiped out easily with a soapy sponge (the pot should never be immersed in water).
