Part of Riedel's Vinum Extreme collection, the machine-blown, lead-crystal glasses are named for their extreme contours with diamond-shaped bowls that angle out dramatically before narrowing at the top, thus creating exceptionally wideFounded in 1756, Europes's Riedel Crystal is the world's premier manufacturer of wine glasses. The Vinum Extreme series of glasses are machine-made of diamond-shaped 24 percent lead crystal. These glass shapes, with a unique angular look, dramatic oversized bowls, and extra-tall stems, were introduced in 1986 to support the increasingly dense consistency of wines. The design provides an exceptionally wide evaporation surface, thereby intensifying a wine's bouquet and silky texture.
