Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Riedel O Cabernet/Merlot Wine Tumblers, Set of 2Customer Review: The shape doesn't really work for us Summary: 3 Stars
The tumblers are just fine I guess but between my small hands having difficulty holding them and the fact we normally use long stem, thin rim, big bowl glassware they just don't work for us.
I bought them to use for the casual glass of wine (think rose on the patio in the afternoon) but prefer the "regular" wine goblets that we have. So, although the product is fine, the price was good, I won't be buying any more of them.
Customer Review: Love it, love it, love it! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought my first 2 last year and now have 8 each of the merlot, pinot and sauv blanc - plus the decanter. They're easy to grip (though the pinot could give you a cramp if you hold it too long, its so wide), stable and great for the dishwasher. Even better - and I didn't appreciate this until last night - they're sturdy. My husband dropped one on the tile floor and instead of shattering, it somehow managed to bounce!
Customer Review: Great product Summary: 4 Stars
When I first heard about Riedel coming out with a stemless glass I was a bite skeptical. I have now been using for about 2 weeks now and they are really great for everyday use. Best of all their less expensive and if they break it doesn't hurt as much. Definitly a good buy for everyday use, stick to the Vinum or if you want to spend a little money the Sommeliers series for formal dinner parties and the like.
Customer Review: Great but BE VERY CAREFUL! Summary: 3 Stars
I really would like to give these 5 stars, but I was able to use mine only 3 times before one broke in the dishwasher. Not from the machine, just from bumping it as I put it in.
I am always very careful with my dishes, and couldn't believe how easily it broke.
I do love the idea of these however. Waterford has a great set that is a bit thicker if you are worried about breaking.
Customer Review: Great glass and surprisingly affordable Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these as a gift for my husband who had smashed 3 of 4 stemmed glasses. He was a little skeptical but has come to love them. We have 3 children ages 7 and under and it's always a challenge keeping stemware out of their way. These glasses solves the tipping problem. The shape is great and although we handwash them so far, it's nice to know you can put them in the dishwasher.
