This was a great buy! The package came fast, and the lamp was put together by me in about 10 minutes without the use of tools! The light is very good in that its not sharp direct light but even in all directions and softer than some of the "spotlight" - types. Ever since I put this in my office, I've gotten at least 4 compliments on its style and the type of light it gives. It is simply perfect and SO worth the price! Oh, and I can't say how much I love the step-button feature that turns the lamp on and off. I love the look of this, but it goes through light bulbs really fast.
I couldn't get the bottom rung of the shade to pull down far enough, so I had to rig it with a hair band. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning.
