Customer Review: nice True Red color, not especially sturdy construction

I bought these for the Christmas season, and I'm pleased with the vivid, true Fire Engine Red color. They really "pop" on the surface of my vintage white stove and look great with the red & green holiday towels and decor sitting on the countertop nearby. (And I'm keeping them out thru the end of February, but switching over to a fun Valentine's Day themed decor around them).
However, outside of the bright red color, there really is no justification for a price tag of nearly $15. My autumn decorations included a set of Autumn Leaf pattern burner covers that I bought at the local "Dollar Tree" for $1, and they were just as sturdy in construction. Quality of material & paint was about the same, the only real difference was $14.
