I think of that quote often.
If you really want to impress your date & entertain with mojitos it takes planning. If you plan well this is a good value! Keep these cold once opened and they will last for weeks! I recommend putting these in a ziplock after the first night.
Depending on how many guest, I also recommend making more than enough simple syrup a day ahead of time so you can refrigerate it so it's too cool to melt your ice which the rum will do.
Simple syrup: 50% ratio water/Sugar. Use narrow glasses with lots of ice and your going to be a star!
BTW Cruzan Rum works much better for mojitos than the Bacardi as the Bacardi is just to harsh.
