Customer Review: Good Solid Mat, Fading Rubber Odor

Solid mat holds up to heavy tamping pressure, protecting counter surfaces. Dimensions are accurate (6 x 8), but photo shows a mat with different dimensions. When new, the mat had a heavy (and offensive) rubber smell. Multiple washings have reduced the odor, and hopefully that reduction will continue.... Pad is nice thickness and does the job. Smell is really bad and I expect multiple washings and leaving out in sun will help - some web sites suggest putting it in bag with kitty litter for several days/weeks works well. Expect it will stink really bad for awhile.Customer Review: Great Product!
