Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Rattleware 7-Inch Espresso Machine Brush, with Drip GuardCustomer Review: It does what is supposed to do Summary: 3 Stars
I use this brush at home to clean the E61 group head of my Sanremo Treviso espresso machine.
Pros: It is sturdy and handy. Does not melt from the heat. Fits perfectly in the groove around the shower. The drip guard protects my fingers from the hot water.
Cons: The water splashes from the handle on the table even though the drip tray is pretty large. In this respect the design of the more expensive Rattleware 7-Inch Group Brush, Zig Zag might be better.
The purchase at Amazon went hassle-free
Customer Review: Great Brush, Rattleware never steers me wrong. Summary: 5 Stars
This brush has worked very well to keep my Rancillio Silvia nice and clean. I have had it for about 8 months now and it has done a fantastic job. The little drip piece built in keeps the counter relatively clean (though its not perfect), to the point that a quick wipe down with a cloth is all the clean-up required. Most importantly, however, is that it keeps the group head coffee-and maintenance free. If you have a nice espresso machine, you need this brush! It will save you time (and money) in the long run.
Customer Review: Great for individual parts of the espresso machine Summary: 4 Stars
I found the rattleware brush to be good to use on individual parts if they are off the espresso machine for cleaning. The brush is difficult to get around the areas/grooves on the machine itself - near the seal to get out all the coffee grounds. It's a tight area and the brush doesn't do the job.
Customer Review: Good value Summary: 5 Stars
Does what it's supposed to do, at a fair price. Thoughtfully designed and no frills. The bristles are heavy duty - nylon(?) and hopefully heatproof. The Rattleware tamper is also a good value, and makes a nice companion.
Customer Review: Good for the price Summary: 3 Stars
All in all this is a fine group head brush. Although the drip guard did not work well for me and allowed water to run down the handle and on to the counter.
