Customer Review: I HAVE TO SAY I LIKE THIS DISPENSER A LOT!

To be very honest, we needed another kitchen gadget like we need more books in the house, but like books, I am a push over; an absolute kitchen gadget freak and simply cannot resist. I do about half of our cooking, all of our dishwashing and clean up, so my wife indulges me. Every so often I get lucky and come up with one of these little kitchen helpers that actually does what it is suppose to do and is actually helpful. This EVOO dispenser falls into that delightful category.
This thing is easy to fill (a small funnel which I immediately lost is included), easy to wash (It is dishwater safe and the inside is easily done with a touch of detergent, hot water and a vigorous shake or two and then a rinse), and is a blessing to use as you do not dribble the oil all over the place. I am a pretty messy cook, which would be no problem for me if I had someone to clean my own messes up, but since I have to do it myself, it is nice to have nonhuman assistance it not creating those messes in the first place.
This container does indeed hold the 24 Oz. the description says it will. It should be noted that it is heavy when filled and could, by some, be considered bulky. This is no problem as far as I am concerned as I like the feel of the heft.
The only objections I can find; the only thing I can come up to whine about is that the little cap kept falling off. I threw it away as it was not really needed. I use a lot of EVOO in my cooking and the air exposure is almost nil. The opaque stone wear keeps light off of the oil to allow it to keep its integrity.
The only other problem I have, and it is my problem and not the product, is that I am not overly fond of the color red or orange, the only two colors this thing comes in it seems. The only other thing I own that is red is my old truck, but as it has literally not been washed in over 16 years now, it is difficult to tell just what color it is so it is no big deal. I would have preferred that this dispenser (and my truck, for that matter), to be a different color; green, white...hey, I would have even settled for yellow.
This is an attractive item though and goes along well with the other stuff I have piled on the cabinets. It is so nice not to have to drag cans or bottles out each and every mean.
