I was reluctant at first on spending this much money on a ceramic dish. Boy, was I wrong. This is the best piece of cookware I have ever owned and I own some of the most expensive out there. The quality of the glaze makes the pan almost non-stick. This pan is great for everything, not just lasagne. Whatever you use a 13x9 pan for this is the one you should own. You will go back to it time and time again, it will become your go-to pan. It is also lightweight but sturdy so won't be a problem for anyone with strength issues. The handles are great and make putting it in and out of the oven a breeze. This would be the perfect gift for anyone. Bride, graduate, novice cook or experienced chef, man or woman. They will thank you again and again. I plan to buy more of Rachael Ray's cookware in the future.
