I am very sensitive to the compounds released from cutting onions. So much so that my husband generally has to cut them for me, and even then I have to leave the room. Otherwise, there are lots of tears and burning eyes. Since I bought these goggles, I have not had to do any of the things I usually do. No refrigerating the onions, no burning candles, and no waiting for my husband. I have expected to cry, because I can still feel the burning sensation in my nostrils which has always preceded the tears... but no tears. These are worth every penny.
I have only one con and this is a little nit picky. They do look a bit strange, but I'm not wearing them out anywhere. They do the job!
