I used to own one of these several years ago and I loved it! I had it for 2 or 3 years and used it quite often before it broke one day. I could never find anything else like it until I saw it offered here one day a few months ago. I purchased one right away and the first day it was delivered, I cracked a handful of nuts, worked perfectly just like the old one, and broke! I was very disappointed but the seller was very sorry and cooperative about a refund or replacement. Well, I was always impressed with this "style" of cracker, so I requested another one. This one lasted a little bit longer, but it ended up breaking in almost the exact same area as the first one. Again, the seller was very concerned about my happiness, and promptly refunded my money.(Including the shipping)I believe the original cracker I had a few years ago was made of a heavier gauge metal(the round part of the cracker)than this one. If they ever make another one of these nut crackers that is more heavy duty, I will purchase it in a second! Otherwise, don't waste your time or money on this one.
