I bought this little gem many years ago from a product hawker at a food fair and am thrilled to find it again here. I paid $25 back then, and thought... geesh I'm a sucker! ... until I used it... after which I would have happily paid that again just to have a back-up. I use it almost exclusively for chopping onions. Unlike my high-end food processor, which turns onions into mush, this actually chops cleanly, and with none of the burning eyes! Just quarter the peeled onion and turn the handle until it's chopped to the size you need. I did use it a few times when new for slicing tomatoes and cucumbers and it worked great, but to be honest, I've never used it for much but the onions. All the pieces are dishwasher safe. Great product. I'm also getting one as a stocking stuffer for my daughter who is in her first apartment and doesn't have or need a big food processor right now.
