This Cranberry Toile de Jouy collection features drawings & reproductions from many of England's Historic Royal Palaces during the period of Royal inhabitancy. This Toile de Jouy is coloured in delicate Cranberry Pink & warm cream giving a subtle yet stylish appeal. Our Artisans & Artists have been able to recreate the appeal of this historic Toile heritage by faithfully reproducing the design onto engravings from where we can reproduce these designs utilising the transfer print process. This historical collection with contemporary living appeal will ensure years of delight during its many years of constant use. The 20 Piece dinner set is sure to turn heads.With its tasteful color combinations and rich organic imagery, the Toile de Jouy cranberry dinnerware is simultaneously sweet and sophisticated. Crafted by Queen?s China, the pattern features a finely detailed array of cranberry-colored birds, branches, and butterflies against a creamy base. White backgrounds and intricate tan borders on some pieces add definition and delicate contrast. In this set, the rimmed bowls feature a central image of a rural gardener at work, while the teacups sport two playful butterflies just inside the rim. A subtle stitch pattern adds depth to the design.
Crafted from high-fired earthenware, Toile de Jouy dishes feature a durable top glaze to protect the transfer-printed pattern. They are safe in the microwave and dishwasher and intended for comfortable, frequent use. This set includes place settings for four, each with a 10-3/4-inch rimmed dinner plate, an 8-1/2-inch salad plate, a 9-inch rimmed bowl, a 6-1/4-inch saucer, and a 3-3/4-inch-diameter teacup.
