I purchased this 8 cup measuring bowl as a replacement for a broken one, and since Amazon offered me a deal, I purchased two of them. I could make a long list of its fine attributes and usefulness, however suffice to say that I would NEVER be without one of these in my kitchen ; it is an essential for me to make custards, puddings and sauces in the microwave.....nothing else provides the extra room for bubble ups, shows how much you have, and has the nice handle for handling hot bowls.Customer Review: Giant Measuring Cup

This is perfect for measuring out large quantities of fluid. Of course I live in the US, so why should I expect there to be metric units? Well, unfortunately there is not. I'll just have to get out the trusty calculator but it is a real pain when I'm pouring to try to remember the metric equivalent and trying not to spill the contents. Otherwise, this is a good product and holds 8 cups or 64 ounces or 1.89270589 Liters ;-)Customer Review: I love this!

I use this for so many things! Pancake batter, merinading steaks, the works. Both the lid and the cup are dishwasher safe. I love the fact that you have different pouring choices from the spout. Best of all though is the fact that you can put anything in here and it will not leak. I have not used this in the microwave with the lid on, so am unsure of the effects it has on food.Customer Review: A great tool for your kitchen

Of all the tools in my kitchen, this one really comes in handy! Great for measuring larger amounts for your recipes, perfect for pancake batter, durable, microwaveable, dishwasher safe, well...it's a Pyrex, right? The lid is an added plus! Just love it! I have always wanted this item and I am so glad I found it at Amazon for a great price. I use it all the time especially to measure my hot water for my french press coffee maker. I used it last night to make onion ring batter and it was the ideal container.
