Durable, ergonomic and a vital part of any kitchen. '2-cups' is such a useful size that I bought two of these. Pick up some other sizes too.
I should have bought the one with the lid. It isn't completely necessary, but would have been nice to use in the microwave.
NOTE: There are newer Pyrex measuring cups with non-slip silicone on the grip and bottom of the cup. That one would probably get 6 stars from me. :)
On the side of the cup is "microwaveable" and "Made in USA".

Have you ever tried to measure a cup of oil in a plastic measuring cup? Sure, it works, but I hope you have half an hour or so to get the oil off the plastic. It's an annoying waste of time and gallons of running water.
The Pyrex Prepware 2-Cup Measuring Cup, Clear with Red Measurements is the gold standard of measuring cups. All that other plastic stuff in my kitchen is junk compared to it.
If you need a measuring cup, definitely buy this one.

as i was reading some of the reviews there were a lot of complaints on it exploding in the microwave, i got mine for its purpose use for measuring, and its great i use it all the time for measuring duo to me baking a lot and things like that.
i have no complaints of it, i got this brand cause my grandmother had one of the originals that first came out she said she still has it well during the 2011 year.
so as an owner i am highly satisfied.

We purchased these (we bought two)to replace some old,faded,plastic ones we have had for years. I always avoided buying "glass" ones, afraid they would break easy,or crack if you put water back into them when they had just been used and were hot. These cups are very durable, won't crack when hot, and the red measurement markings are well defined and easy to read. They also don't fade over time. I have many Pyrex pieces, including another measuring cup of this size. I needed an extra one and this one fit the bill. As usual, great for microwave, etc., and Amazon did an exceptional job with packing it and getting it here a day earlier than ETA. As far as I am concerned, for liquid measuring, you can't beat Pyrex ~ and with a little care, they last for years and years and years ...
