When my wife accidentally broke her old Pyrex 2-Cup measuring cup which she's had for at least the 18 years we've been married, she was quite unhappy and started using some cheap plastic measuring cups we had around to get by. Since she's the greatest cook I know and I'm more-than-happy to be the hungry husband, I then figured I could earn some quick spousal points by replacing that broken measuring cup with another one just like it. WELL ... to my and especially her great surprise, this new exact replacement was better marked and thus easier to read and had an extremely cool light-green hue to it!!! It was truly better than the original it replaced!!!Customer Review: Great!

Pyrex is always reliable, and the 2-cup measuring cup is great for bigger recipes.
This item shipped fine, but there was a lot of extra and unnecessary packaging (I believe it came in a small shipping box, shipped in a larger one). That made me feel wasteful, but it wasn't my fault.

The Pyrex 2-cup measuring cup in my kitchen is used daily. Measuring liquids, to boil water in the microwave, to hold dry measures, as a small mixing bowl, etc. The markings are clear and haven't worn off. The 2-cup size is a nice balance; smaller and and easier to handle than the 4-cup, but more useful than the 1-cup size (especially when cooking for more than two). Easy to wash.
This would be an excellent gift for a new kitchen (newly weds, kids moving out, etc). I use it so often I leave mine on the counter rather than storing it.

I replaced an older cup of this type with the new model. The measurements are much easier to read, and I like the handle better as it is open at the bottom, which, I think, makes it easier to use.
