Customer Review: Excellent value, but not perfectly designed

This is an excellent pie pan considering how inexpensive it is (currenly $3.20) but I would prefer the handles be larger. The handles are tiny, and can be difficult to hold securely.
I did have one explode on me; I took a pie out of the oven and placed it on the stove, and not much later the whole pan broke shooting fragments of glass against my body and around the kitchen. I didn't get cut, so it was just surprising and inconvenient.
I continue to use these since they're so cheap... I just make sure to put them on cooling racks.

My grandmother introduced me to Pyrex and she always made her famous apple pie in these glass pie dishes.
They brown the pie crust just enough and I have wonderful memories of seeing the pie dish sitting on her counter with the pie still steaming and scenting the kitchen with the heavenly scent of apples and cinnamon.
You need at least two if you are a serious baker! I also use these to make cherry pie and other delicious desserts.

I use this to make dutch apple pie. It's deep and the edges are raised verses a traditional pie dish, this keeps the topping from falling off when taking the pie to the oven. Easy to clean too, I rinse it out and pop it in the dishwasher. I have 3 of them there are very handy espically around the holidays.Customer Review: Bought Four

I bought one of these pie plates and when it arrived, I loved the size and quality so I ordered 3 more. I have donated my old pie plates to the church rummage sale now. They were all odd sizes and fillings never seemed to fit in them, either too full or not full enough. These are perfect.Customer Review: Back to Basics

I have tried all kinds of pie plates but recently went back to this glass pie plate. What fantastic results! The crust was unbeatable. The plate's fluted edge is especially nice to look at on the table, and the dish is extremely easy to clean.
