Customer Review: Perfect bread pan for us

My family loves homemade bread, so I make 4 loaves every 1-2 weeks. I received one of these Pyrex 1.5 quart loaf pans as a wedding gift several years ago, and it was always my favorite bread pan--- I've also used metal and silicone. I looked in a few stores a few times and never saw this loaf pan in this size, so finally I ordered 3 more from Amazon.com.
It makes a nice size loaf that is also able to fit into a bag. Some pans are so large that the bread comes out too big to fit into any of the normal storage bags that I have. The problem I had with the silicone pan was that the sides couldn't support the bread dough, so they bulged way out and my loaf of bread looked like a large egg when it was done. In my light colored metal pans, the tops of the loaves would be nice and brown, but the bottom would still be extremely pale and look undone, but if I left it in longer to get the bottoms to brown, the loaves would get overbaked.
So, I love my pyrex loaf pans in the 1.5 quart size. They are perfect for us!
