Excellent quality as expected from Pyrex. Clear containers really help when you are trying to find something in the refrigerator.
Unfortunately the there is nothing on the lids that says what kind of plastic they are made of. They are dishwasher safe - I've washed one in the dishwasher in over a year - but now I've switched to washing the lids by hand in cool water. There is a study that says that exposing certain kinds of plastic to hot water increases the rate at which it releases phthalates. So I really wish I knew what the lids were made out of.

These bowls are very useful, safe and economical buys. They come in very handy sizes, are perfect for the microwave, oven, refrigerator and freezer, and are attractive enough for serving as well. The lids close very tightly, so they are especially good for transport and freezing. Its highly durable pyrex glass composition eliminates any worry about harmful plastic chemicals leaching into your food. To avoid leaching of chemicals from plastic containers, I use them now instead of my old Tupperware and have no worries when heating food in them. Pyrex glass containers with snap on covers are the BEST, most healthy containers... glass is the safest material for microwaving...do not use plastics to microwave - (...). The only complaints I have are that I wish the bowls came in bigger sizes too and be very gentle when opening the lid straight out of the freezer as the edges of the lids are a little brittle when frozen. If you let the container sit at room temperature for a few minutes before opening, the plastic lid warms up enough to open easily. Recently we just stopped using plastics and switched to all glass for food storage and microwaving because of health concerns.
This pyrex has been wonderful. I have not had any cracks or breaks and I have even dropped a few from the refrigerator to the floor. Its great that you can go straight from refrigerator to oven or microwave. The lids fit perfectly.
The only complaint that I have on this set is that there is alot of smaller bowls and I am always needing bigger ones. Other than that, this has been a great set.

Update: One 7-cup set broke after one month of use(after baking), Amazon replaced it in no time(2 day shipping free), its always safe to buy @ Amazon. (thanks 2 amazon)
I believe this product is satisfactory, go for it if you cannot afford genuine corningware. And if you are looking between 10-piece and 14-piece then 14 is better because it comes with free shipping, if its 10-piece you have to buy another item to make it $25.00.
My experience with this product is "So Far So Good", they are easy to use and sturdy.
