My wife and I have bought two of these sets, and use them all the time. We store leftovers in them, take our lunches to work in them every day. For a long time we used low-quality plastic containers for this, and I'm not sure why we waited so long to upgrade - but I'm very glad that we did.
These containers are easy to wash out (dishwasher safe), the lids close tight, and they do great in the freezer. The other great thing is that they stack up inside of each other, which saves a lot of cabinet space.
If you're looking for kitchen storage, then you will love this product. My only complaint is that there are too many small bowls, and not enough big ones. The smallest ones are pretty much useless, and I'd trade all of the small ones for a single big one in a heartbeat.

I bought one set as a gift and decided on something different. I held on to the set for years before I finally opened it. I like it better than plastic tupperware style storage because you can nuke in the glass and not have to worry about melting the plastic and leeching chemicals into your food. I have had sets before where they give you only one large container and ten super tiny ones, but this set has just the right amount of small medium and large sizes. The only downside is that the plastic lids can still be stained by red sauces. I placed leftover spahgetti sauce in a container and some got on the lid and stained it. I liked the set so much that I bought a second one during a after turkey day sale. I use them daily now and use my plastic storage for dry goods.Customer Review: Great bowls; wish they had handles

I've been using this product for about 1 1/2 yrs. & also purchased it as a gift for newlyweds. I love these glass bowls as well as their versatility. I just wish these bowls had some sort of handle. I use my microwave extensively for cooking; the dishes are very hot & it can be tricky removing them from the microwave. Sometimes I put a plate under the dish to make removal easier; other times, I use a potholder. I'm always concerned that I'll lose my grip and the hot contents will fly all over me and the room. Ouch! Since it's becoming more and more important to avoid plastics, I hope that Pyrex will add some sort of handle or grip to all their glassware. I purchased both sets from Amazon.com and both arrived intact, with no breakage, & all the correct lids.Customer Review: Finally free of microwaving plastic

I made a New Year's resolution to finally stop microwaving plastic containers for lunch, but thought I wouldn't be able to keep it on a student schedule and budget. Ordering these was the perfect solution. I was afraid there was not enough size/shape variety, but that has not been a problem. Lids fit securely, and so far no problem with leaks (although I haven't dared bring soup yet). Of course they are a bit heavier than plastic containers but nothing unmanageable. The only disadvantage is that they can get quite hot in the microwave.
Note: the other part of my lunch revitalization plan was to buy a nice, padded lunch container. Throwing things in a plastic bag probably wouldn't be such a good idea with these.

I have bought a few sets of pyrex over the last year or so. I like using them instead of plastic containers - especially in the microwave. The only problem is that the sets always have a lot of the smaller bowls rather than more of the bigger bowls. This set is good because the small bowls are still a useful size - you can take them to work for lunch and usually fit in enough food. Still, many times we like to use the medium sized bowls for this purpose, especially when taking a few different things. I have also put these containers in the freezer with leftovers and in the oven (without the lids of course) for dips and stuff and have never had a problem with them cracking or breaking. Overall, great product and fast shipping!
