I got this set and the 20-piece set to replace my Rubbermaid and Tupperware containers. I hated putting hot food in the plastic, since I knew most of my old containers were likely not BPA free. I like that these are airtight and I can use the small round one for things like applesauce and yogurt in my lunch. I have not had any issues with the lids not fitting like some have mentioned. Time will tell how they will hold up after being used in the freezer and the microwave and if the lids will retain odors from smelly foods like deviled eggs and items that contain garlic. I do wish these were bigger, since my old Rubbermaid set came with larger sizes for storing meals. These are fine if you make small batches, but I tend to make lots of food and have tons of leftovers. Overall very nice and versatile and I would recommend.Customer Review: Pyrex drops the ball

I purchased this exact same set 3 years ago and loved it. Recently I decided to do away with all my plastic containers and switch solely to glass so I purchased another set. The first set I got the lids wouldn't even go on the round containers. I called Pyrex to complain but they sent me to Amazon customer service instead. I found it odd that they didn't want to hear about their defective product. Anyway, Amazon replaced the set promptly and without hassle. The second set I got had almost the same problem! The lids are extremely hard to get on (only on the round containers) They are indented so far that they almost go inside the bowls instead of out. Maybe it was just one batch of the product but I would be leery of buying them again especially since Pyrex doesn't seem to stand behind their product. I have to add my 2 cents - I love these! I've been using these for about 6 years or so now. Great containers for everything (except soup maybe). They stack great in the fridge and freezer. I like being able to heat them in the microwave without the worries of plastic melting or worse. All of my lids fit just fine, but most of the past years I was without a dishwasher - so, they were all hand washed up until the last year.
I will add that they can break. It takes a lot, but it is possible. We've lost 2 that fell out of the fridge onto the tile floor.
They are a little tricky to get a hold of when hot - no lip or handle to grab on to. But that's also a plus in the fridge, no handles to waste space.
I truly love these - they are one of the few things that really simplify my storage container cabinet.

You know you shouldn't be microwaving that plastic Gladware container full of chemicals that leach, so why are you? Enter Pyrex. They're solid glass, smooth on the bottom, and the tops are soft but sturdy plastic. Easy to reheat and store leftovers in, they come in a variety of useful sizes. Stir frys and large one pot meals go in the big one, and a small batch of fresh salad dressing goes in a small one. The large bowl is perfect to take salad to work in. They can even be used in the oven!
I've had the set at least 6 months, they show no discernible signs of wear and tear. Perhaps those who commented that they leaked have an old dishwasher or an undiagnosed problem with hard water that is harsh on everything. I hand wash mine, but my (future) mother-in-law's are years old and look just like mine.

I swear I dont know how anyone can rate these less than 5...
I have these and the bakeware and they are great. It goes without saying if you put HOT stuff in these bowls do not stick straight in the fridge, wait till it cools. Just like if you buy the bakeware and take out of oven, do not put cold water on a GLASS pan that just came out of the oven. Put warm or hot water in it. But these storage containers are great. Dishwasher safe, etc... Been using them for a year and the covers work perfect they do not slip off or whatever else I read.
BYE BYE PLASTIC STORAGE CONTAINERS FOREVER....
Buy them, YOU WILL NOT REGRET it. Search for the other sets and get a bigger set for a better deal. I bought this set to add to the other bigger set I already have, to have a few extra ones.
