I have a good collection of these dishes. These are solid performers for freezing food, reheating and I even use mine to take food (including soups!) to work for lunch. The lids are nice and tight on the round dishes (but not so much on the squares). A great alternative to plastic containers if you have concerns about reheating food in the microwave.
I also have a few of the rounds with tabs on the lids that can be flipped up to allow steam to escape when reheating food in the microwave. Amazon doesn't seem to have many of these. I bought them from [...] and they're great as well.

I've got 2 sets of these and I love them. I bought them in order to remove all plastic storage containers in my kitchen. They are very sturdy and the lids do an excellent job keeping a tight seal. I use them to refrigerate items as well as storing dried fruits in the pantry.
These bowls have some weight to them, but nothing to be concerned with. You can easily pack them in a lunchbag if you bring your lunch to work/school. And since they are glass, they cleanup very easy. Just some soapy water and a swipe of the sponge and you are done. Pyrex quality is hard to beat!

I've bought two of these sets before, and they were all great. You get so scared of using plastic tupperware, whether they're BPA free or not, that glass is the only way to go. The lid is rubber (?) and is microwaveable/dish washer safe. In any case, I try not to place the lids in the microwave/washer if I can help it. So, most of the times the food is sitting only in glass when being heated.
One thing to be wary of though: the company does say that the lids are not spill proof. And, they're right of course. They form a nice tight fit, but they will spill sauces.

I bought these for leftovers for the fridge and for my husband to take to work for lunch. The best thing is that they are glass and not plastic. No lingering smells in the container. The 4 stars rather than 5 is for the lids. The draw back is that if anything with liquid is stored in the rectangular set it really needs to be set upright. The lids do not seal well. The round ones do. I can actually "burp" the lids to get a pretty good seal. I would buy more round ones for this reason. Though, if your purpose is to stack leftovers in the fridge, the rectangles are perfect.Customer Review: Great way to store food

I am a personal chef and I purchased these containers to store my client's food that I prepare for them. They come in good sizes, are microwave, freezer, dishwasher and oven safe, stack easily in the refrigerator and freezer or nest nicely in the cupboard. They are also earth friendly since there is nothing to throw away. Also, with the possible concern of plastic storage containers releasing toxins into the food, these glass containers are by far the best bet for safe and convienient food storage.
The only thing that could make them better is if they were free.
