Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Purina FortiFlora Feline Nutritional Supplement, box of 30 x 1 gram packagesCustomer Review: great for cats with stomach issues+amazon shipped amazingly fast Summary: 5 Stars
i had tried fortiflora a while back when it was prescribed by the vet to cure my cat's loose stools...fortiflora cured the condition...months later, however, my kitty experienced the same issues as before and i bought fortiflora again...my cat was cured again and now i use fortiflora on a daily basis--half a pocket of the stuff a day does the trick!
p.s. (november 23, 2010) according to my vet, a pinch a day does wonders--so now it's just a pinch--this stuff lasts a very long time!!!
Customer Review: Works fast!! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my cat who has FIV and a very sensitive stomach. She had to be on some antibotics several months ago, and developed bad diarrhea. We got 3 different medications from our vet but nothing would get her over her diarrhea. Sometimes she couldn't even make it in time to her litter box. A friend told me about FortiFlora. It cleared her diarrhea up the first time I used it. I've been using it for 2 months now and no diarrhea and no accidents outside the litter box.
Customer Review: Wonder Drug!! Great for IBS! Summary: 5 Stars
My IBS cat has had a problem with chronic diarrhea for 10 years. 4 vets later, vet #4 gave us some of this. My cat has not had diarrhea for a month now and is more active than I have seen her in a long time. I will be buying more to keep on hand.
If you can't mix it with wet food (wet food makes her diarrhea worse) then mix it with cottage cheese. Sounds weird, but my vet suggested it and it worked. Cottage cheese is on the bland diet sometimes prescribed.
Customer Review: FortiFlora Feline Summary: 3 Stars
I have mixed reviews for this product. My Toyger kitten has had slight diarrhea since I got her from the breeder in Nov.'08. She's been on different antibiotics; she's had blood tests and GI panels. I tried changing her food-even though she was on a high quality food.
At first I thought the FortiFlora was working but then her diarrhea came back, so I stopped it. Then I tried it again. I think I'm going to try another box because I'm not getting anywhere with the vets.
Customer Review: switching from dry to canned cat food Summary: 5 Stars
I'm in the process of switching my cats from dry cat food to canned cat food. Not an easy task. Of course the cats are rebelling and pretty much refusing to eat. I read somewhere that FortiFlora FELINE sprinkled on the wet food would encourage eating. At this point willing to try anything, I ordered some. And it's working! Just a very small amount seems to entice stubborn cats to eat. So because the product provided a solution for my needs, I'm giving it 5 stars.
