Customer Review: very lightweight. it's pink, too. not heavy duty.
Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this for the wife. She likes lighter knives, and rarely uses them, so this is perfect. Inexpensive, decent steel, and disposable, should the coating start to peel.
I do not expect this knife to last forever, but the price point and function are hard to beat. It comes with a good edge, and sharpens easily. The non-stick coating is more useful than I expected. That same coating will probably be the reason we chuck it when we do, since it's teflon, and that's bad if you eat it.
This is the sort of knife you can take travel with- like to a vacation beach house- to ensure you have something you can work with, but can leave behind without regret.
Like I said, I bought this for the wife. I like bigger badder knives, so here are the things I don't like about the knife-
very very light thin blade very straight edge
I would prefer the chef knife's shape for most uses, but it's pink, so the wifey likee. I, however, cook every day and need a tougher knife than this. So if you are looking for a knife to chop though sticks or bones, or one that will last forever, spend more money.
bottome line:
you won't find a better knife for $10, but you may find one that feels better to you.
