Tried to slice lemons like in the picture, but got lemonade. Wouldn't cut it at all. Followed the directions by cutting off the ends so the lemon would fit and sinking it into the blades to get it started. But all it did was squish it. Sliced some cheese and it worked ok. Seemed like a lot of strength needed for a soft food.Customer Review: Works

Works very easy.
Is good to slice onions, potatoes, cucumbers and green tomatoes. Does not work on ripe tomatoes. Makes perfect 1/4 inch slices.

It'll cut cucumbers and similar textures, but it'll destroy tomatoes. You'll end up getting ketchup if it doesn't get stuck at the chamber first.
