I bought these in order to wash and drain things like red beans out of the can, olives, washing blueberries, etc so I wouldn't have to get out the huge colander for small jobs. I did read the sizes of these before ordering them, but I guess I didn't visualize just how small the smallest one of these would be! It is TINY. I don't know what you would use it for, really. Maybe capers? A VERY small serving of berries? The large size is perfect for draining a can of beans or fruit. They are cute, colorful, highly enameled, seem to be quite sturdy and are mostly functional. They would look nice left out as a decoration, too.
